During the Red Cloud war against the white man at the Boseman trail Young Man Afraid of His Horses, showed great scills both as schout and as a warrior.

During the Fettermanfight he was chosen to be first decoy alongside  Crazy Horse, they both did a splendid job and we all know the result of that fight.

His Father the Old Man Afraid was also a negotiater during the first clashes in 1854 standing alongside Conquering Bear ,that was called the Gratten fight ,he and his soldier were wiped out in” less than it takes a man to eat his soup”

The Lakota People is the only army in the world that has wiped out the United States army 3 times ,the last one was at Little Big Horn, Montana.

The white man called it a massacre, the Lakota called it “high noon at greasy grass”

General Custer and all his 263 men were killed there, the date was June 26 1876.
